1. Practice YOGA against Anxiety
Yoga is great for improving flexibility and strengthening our core. But it is also inducing feelings of calm and improving your heart health if you do it regularly. If you spend 15 minutes a day, you could reduce your blood pressure by as much as 10 %.
These few moments done every day will allow inspiration to flood in, stress to be released, and will transform your life in so many beneficial ways.
The best time to do this is first thing in the morning before your day really begins, or last thing at night as your day comes to a close, but the benefits can be enjoyed anywhere, at any time. Don’t underestimate the power of a few moments of silence every day.
2. Spend more Time Outside
Take a walk for a half hour every day or spend time in your garten tending to plants or vegetables. Researches have shown that spending time outside it will boost your mood and lower your stress and anxiety.
3. Read a Book
A good book will absolutely help you to relax and to distress you after a hard day. Reading is one of those activities that we do on own and can help us escape from the daily stresses of life.
This could be a book to help you increase your wisdom, or learn something new, or a piece of fiction to transport you away from daily anxieties and stresses.
In addition to the learning benefits, reading also improves the connectivity between our brain cells, lowering the risk of neurodegenerative diseases.
4. Talk with Someone
When there are lots of stresses and anxieties in your life, one of the best things you can do is reach out and talk with someone, with a good friend.
When you share your concerns or feelings with someone, it can help relieve some of the stress or anxiety you feel. Choose a good friend, someone you can trust, someone who gets you and can validate you. So, call a trusted friend, family member, colleague or mentor and just talk.
5. Practice Meditation and Daily Intentions
Meditation as we also know is a good way to work with yourself, in other words to distress your body, to pay more attention in this negative thoughts or stress that is going into our body and is creating discomfort.
Also the art of practicing daily intentions can be a powerful way of managing and reducing stress. It can be as simple as starting what you want to happen that day or writing down at the start of each day what you feel grateful for. Gratitude brings together positive emotions like joy, contentment, hope and gives you mind a positive boost.
There are many things you can do in order to distress your mind and body. You can do also some sport, focusing in your breathing, painting, singing, driving etc. Important is to find this one you like more and effectively help you to relief the symptoms of stress and anxiety.
