Why I think smoothies are so good for our healthy?! Because I switched from my bad usual-morning habit to not eat at all, to a glass of smoothie as breakfast.
As a result it has been so great for me that I thought I could share a few of the reason why smoothies are the healthy way to start the day.
1. Get your daily allowance of fruits and vegetables.
Consuming the daily recommendation of fruits and vegetables can be a challenge. Blending a couple of serving of each into a smoothie helps ensure you meet your body’s daily nutritional needs.
2. Improve digestion.
Smoothies are very good to combat the problems of indigestion or constipation. Let your blender “chew” your food and ease the burden on your digestive system while you simultaneously consume plenty of dietary fiver to ensure excellence digestion.
3. Easier weigh loss.
If you have a better digestion than you will lose weight easier. Therefore smoothies are a healthy way to diet . Smoothie is a liquid drink food which provide your body with all the vitamins and minerals it needs.
We’re consuming thousands of man-made chemicals in today’s world, which leaves our body beginning to detoxify. A homemade green SMOOTHIE will give your digestive system a break while by adding detoxifying ingredients. Put spinach, dandelion greens, kale and green apple into your smoothie to aid your body’s detoxification processes.
5. Smoothies are free of processed sugars!
Consuming homemade Smoothies you will give your body the needed portion of sugar and supply your body with the right fuel for more energy in the short and long term.
6. Improve athletic performance.
Provide your body with the nutrients it needs to excel during athletic competition! It’s easier for your body to absorb and assimilate the nutrients in a smoothie as opposed to a meal.
7. Strengthen your immune system.
Smoothies contains vitamins and the nutrients that strengthen your immune system. Reduce the number of times you get sick and lesson the severity by empowering your immune system.
8. Brain boost.
Consuming on regular smoothies (put also some nuts in) you will give your brain all the vitamins and nutrients it needs to improve your mental clarity, focus and memory. Nuts as we know are a good source of fat, fiber and proteins. Say goodbye to brain fog.
9. Better and deeper sleep.
Improving your healthy by consuming healthy smoothies almost always results in better sleep at night.
10. Happiness & Fun.
If you are improving the all 9 benefits that I have hier mentioned, than you experience a renewed sense of calm and well-being that good health leads to. Also myself I find creating smoothies to be rather enjoyable, hope you feel the same. You can think of yourself as a modern day alchemist mixing and matching various smoothie ingredients. Be in a good mood all the time!
My healthy advice is that, the smoothies must be homemade! You know 100% what goes in there and it is fresh made. You can consume a smoothie at any meal, not just at breakfast.

Now I want to give you one of my favorite recipes of Smoothie:
Apple Strudel Smoothie:
- 2 Apples
- 1/4 Cup Walnuts
- 1/2 tsp spice quartet (cinnamon, cardamom, aniseed & cloves)
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 Small banana
- 1-2 Cup of Milk, I usually use almond milk
- Put the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.
- I start with one cup of milk and add more if it is too thick for my liking.
- Sprinkle the top of smoothie with a pinch of cinnamon if desired.
- Serve immediately and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
